A passion for travel
I’ve been traveling for as long as I can remember, and I have my parents to thank for that — from road trips to sporting events across the U.S. to family vacations in Hawaii and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
More recently, I’ve gotten deep into the world of credit card churning — learning how to maximize points for luxury travel. I started my journey in late 2024 and quickly racked up a few million points just from sign-up bonuses alone. I was instantly hooked by the strategy behind it all — figuring out how to “play the game” and discover (legal) loopholes along the way.
Together with my wife — aka Player 2 (P2) — we’ve used those points to explore Asia and Europe, and we’re just getting started.
Travel has changed the way we see the world — and ourselves. It’s opened our eyes to different cultures, foods, and ways of life that you just can’t fully grasp until you’re there. Every trip teaches us something new, whether it’s slowing down to appreciate a quiet morning in Kyoto or getting lost in a side street in Rome and stumbling into the best meal of our lives. Those moments remind us that travel isn’t just about where you go, but how it shapes who you become.
“Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world, you change things slightly — you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life — and travel — leaves marks on you.” — Anthony Bourdain
